Sexual acts which necessitate Ghusl
Sex and sexuality are subject to many restrictions in the Islamic tradition, however unlike the Christian tradition which encourages celibacy as an ideal for women but especially for men, the Islamic tradition is very supportive of sexuality within the correct context. Men are allowed up to four wives, who may not turn down the sexual advances of their man. In addition, Muslims mujaahids are allowed to keep women captured as slaves as war booty, and sexual intercourse is permitted with them, as is coitus interuptus with the intention of keeping slave girls from becoming pregnant. Sex will also be present in paradise, in contradiction to the gospels where Jesus says that the believers will be sexless like the angels in heaven (Gospel of Matthew 22:30), where the believers will enjoy the hour al-'ayn, the forever-virgin sex nymphs of paradise, for all eternity. Muhammad is attributed with the sexual powers of many men, and his sexuality is seen as a sign of his manliness and prophethood. Sex, even lawful sex, is still ritually unclean though, and the believers are required to engage in ritual cleansing before they are allowed to pray or read the Qur'an.

Men cannot rape female slaves and captives
Men can rape female captives even if they have husbands
It is a unanimous decision by scholars that it is unlawful for men to rape or maltreat their female captives:
{{Quote||In our view the man who rapes a woman, regardless of whether she is a virgin or not, if she is a free woman he must pay a "dowry" like that of her peers, and if she is a slave he must pay whatever has been detracted from her value. The punishment is to be carried out on the rapist and there is no punishment for the woman who has been raped, whatever the case.

{{Quote||"If a man acquires by force a slave-girl, then has sexual intercourse with her after he acquires her by force, and if he is not excused by ignorance, then the slave-girl will be taken from him, he is required to pay the fine, and he will receive the punishment for illegal sexual intercourse."

{{Quote||Abu al-Hussain bin al-Fadhl al-Qatan narrated from Abdullah bin Jaffar bin Darestweh from Yaqub bin Sufyan from al-Hassab bin Rabee from Abdullah bin al-Mubarak from Kahmas from Harun bin Al-Asam who said: Umar bin al-Khatab may Allah be pleased with him sent Khalid bin al-Walid in an army, hence Khalid sent Dharar bin al-Auwzwar in a squadron and they invaded a district belonging to the tribe of Bani Asad. They then captured a pretty bride, Dharar liked her hence he asked his companions to grant her to him and they did so. He then had sexual intercourse with her, when he completed his mission he felt guilty, and went to Khalid and told him about what he did. Khalid said: 'I permit you and made it lawful to you.' He said: 'No not until you write a message to Umar'. (Then they sent a message to Umar) and Umar answered that he (Dharar) should be stoned. By the time Umar's message was delivered, Dharar was dead. (Khalid) said: 'Allah didn't want to disgrace Dharar'.

Notice that Umar ibn Al Khattab (the second caliph) ordered the man who captured the slave girl and had sex with her to be stoned for this crime, for he took the slave girl unjustly.

A houri is a most beautiful young woman with a transparent body. The marrow of her bones is visible like the interior lines of pearls and rubies. She looks like red wine in a white glass. She is of white color, and free from the routine physical disabilities of an ordinary woman such as menstruation, menopause, urinal and offal discharge, child bearing and the related pollution. A houri is a girl of tender age, having large breasts which are round (pointed), and not inclined to dangle. Houris dwell in palaces of splendid surroundings.}}
