The word that reoccures time and time again when discussing the Qur'anic idea of paradise is "garden" "جنة" The picture presented of heaven is an unending serious lush, verdant gardens--an unsurprising picture of paradise to come from a culture inured to the hardships of sand and lack of water in the seemingly deserts of the Arab peninsula.
