[[Aisha]] was Prophet [[Muhammad|Muhammad's]] was the favorite of Muhammad's wives. He married her when she was six to seven years old and consummated the marriage when she was nine [[Islamic Lunar Calendar|lunar years]] old according to the tradition (see  "[[Qur'an, Hadith and Scholars:Aisha#Aisha's Age at Consummation and Marriage|Aisha's Age at Consummation and Marriage]]"), making her Muhammad's youngest bride. Aisha was accused of committing adultery after she was left behind by the caravan.
