The Translation provided here is not what is in the book. The Translation book never used the word moon on this verse : {Quran|76|13.
English to Arabic is from Microsoft Office.

A. re‧cline meaning is taken from [http://www.ldoceonline.com]

    recline in/on
I spent Sunday reclining in a deck chair.
A solitary figure was reclining on the grass.
2 [intransitive and transitive] if you recline a seat, or if it reclines, you lower the back of the seat so that you                              can lean back in it
    reclining seat/chair
B.couch plural couches [countable] meaning is taken from [http://www.ldoceonline.com]
1 a comfortable piece of furniture big enough for two or three people to sit on [= sofa, settee]:
Tom offered to sleep on the couch.
2 a long narrow bed for a doctor's or psychiatrist's patients to lie on
it should be :
'''Reclining in the (Garden) on raised couches, they will see there neither the sun's (excessive heat) nor  excessive cold. }}'''
زمهريرا =  excessive cold. That is the opposite of excessive heat.
This verse speaks about the Jennah(Garden or Heaven). It does not speak about Earth. It says the people in Jennah will live in a balanced weather where there is no sun's (excessive heat) nor excessive cold and they are on a raised couches. It is easy to understand that raised couches is given to them as a reward. Because they were patience and constant, they have been rewarded not only a garden where there is no sun's (excessive heat) or excessive cold but also ( garments )of silk. Read the previous verses....
