Rebuttal

Firstly, the author is using a loose translation which is difficult to justify considering that the 'Adaptation' technique used by professional translators can only be justified when meaning cannot be rendered as such due to different connotations or variations in usage between the source and target languages. Here are three reputable translations:

Yusuf Ali: When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like);

Pickthal: And when souls are reunited,

Shakir: And when souls are united,

Secondly, surah 81 deals with "Judgment Day" which has not happened, therefore it cannot refer to the fulfillment of a prophecy.

Conclusion

This is not a fulfilled prophecy.
