Would you consider working this hadith into the narrative?
{{Quote|Bayhaqi 4:230.|Safiya narrated. I hated Allah’s Apostle more than anyone in the world, because he had killed my husband, my father and my brother. But he kept on saying, “Your father incited the Arabs to unite against me and he did this and that…” until all hatred was gone away from me.}}

The second half apparently refers to Stockholm Syndrome.
