[edit] Allah

[edit] Muslim claim

Some Muslims claim that these clouds spell out "Allah".

[edit] Analysis

Images can easily be doctored by using Photoshop or a similar software program. Even if we accept the image is genuine, we have to consider the fact that cloud formations are constantly changing and are therefore limitless in design, making them an easy source of pareidolia. The image that is recognized by the viewer is dependent upon the angle and time at which the cloud is being viewed from, and hence the photo.

Furthermore, the lettering in this photo is different in style to the lettering found within other "miraculous" images spelling out Allah (e.g. the bees-wax) even though they are all supposed to be creating the same word. If these pictures are instances of a deity writing his own name, then all his writings should be very similar in style; but they are not. Those who claim that these are miraculous signs from Allah, need to explain why they differ so much in style. Surely they are written by the same hand?

[edit] Muslim claim

Muhammed-in-the-clouds.jpg
During the speech by Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri on the international Mawlid-un-Nabi Conference on the 12th Rabbi Ul Awwal the word MUHAMMAD appeared near the Moon...just as the Shaykh was spelling the name and said "I wish i had a board to write it on" ...Subhannallah!! The clouds wrote it for him!! [1][2][3]

[edit] Video and Translation

What we have here is a little creative license when presenting a miracle. The above quote claims that the Shaykh said he wished he had a board to write on and then the miracle occurred. Well, not quite. Here is the video and English translation of the event:

Labz-e-muhammad: The word 'Muhammad'

kahiye: Say! (the word Muhammad)

sub kahiye: everyone say (the word Muhammad)

boliye: speak (the word 'Muhammad')

yaa harf aaya hai meem phir aa uske baad phir meem phir daal: The word starts with meem then aaa after that meem again then daal

[He gets interrupted by the other person who is pointing towards the moon in the sky]

bata rahe hai ki badalon mein allah pak ne isme muhammad ko likh diya hai chand ke ird-gird: I am being told that Allah the pure has written the very word Muhammad in the clouds around the moon

subhan Allah: subhan Allah

Here is a screenshot from the above video, depicting this 'miracle':

[edit] Comparison of Both Images

When the colors of the images are inverted as shown on the right, its easy to see how this image could have been artificially made using a graphics program.

[edit] Example of a Doctored Image

The following comparison shows how easy it is to create a 'miraculous' image:
