"He also confirms what many Muslim apologists try to deny. I.e. when read in context, there is absolutely nothing peaceful about Surah 5:32."

I looked up 5:32 and 5:33. Shouldn't the reference in the sentence be "5:33"?

I think you're right because the article is talking about that verse in all other places (title and quote) so I corrected it. Awaiting Sahab's confirmation. On another note the video was taken down which is sad but at least we have the quote from the video. --Axius (talk | contribs) 18:37, 25 October 2014 (PDT)
No, I meant what I originally wrote. 5:32 is the context of 5:33 and vice versa. If "waging war" and "spreading mischief" in 5:33 refers to rejecting Islam, then so does "spreading mischief" in 5:32. That's why I linked the article about 5:32 on that page. Qaradawi's comments about 5:33 confirms what that article says about 5:32. I've edited it now to make that more clearer. --Sahab (talk) 22:36, 25 October 2014 (PDT)
Cool thanks, glad you're here. I made a temporary edit [1] so people can look at the verse themselves too. See if you like it. --Axius (talk | contribs) 05:01, 26 October 2014 (PDT)
In the regular articles, Qur'an verses should be linked and quoted via footnotes, but it's not really needed in the Translations of Arabic/Islamic Media pages. The notes/reference sections in series like these really look nasty and are out of place. So embedded links are fine here (we got this noted here). I'll add the Qur'an template to them so people can check it out that way. --Sahab (talk) 12:13, 26 October 2014 (PDT)
