→‎Geocentricism: removed deviate verse زول means (Lane Lexicon) to go away, depart, remove, shift, remote, absense, cease to be. Most translations use these other meanings. I don't think it's right to say earth's orbit/spin meets this definition.

The author of the Qur'an emphasizes that the earth is fixed in place and motionless. He is clearly unaware that the earth is not only revolving around the sun, but also spinning on its own axis.
